2025 RBC Canadian Open predictions: Odds, sleeper picks

The final PGA Tour tune-up before the U.S. Open is here.
The 2025 RBC Canadian Open is taking place at a new venue and the field isn't quite as star-studded with some of the world's best golfers, including Scottie Scheffler, spending this week preparing for the third major championship of the 2025 season at Oakmont Country Club. But two-time RBC Canadian Open winner Rory McIlroy will be on hand, and he's the heavy favorite to win in his first appearance since the PGA Championship last month.
Other potential contenders scheduled to play at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, which is hosting the PGA Tour for the first time since undergoing a significant course renovation, include Ludvig Aberg, McIlroy's close friend and countryman Shane Lowry, and defending tournament champion Robert MacIntyre.
Will it be McIlroy who wins Canada's national open again, or will it be a surprise champ? Here are the latest predictions, odds and picks ahead of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open, as well as how to watch the PGA Tour's final event before the U.S. Open:
When does the RBC Canadian Open start?
The 2025 RBC Canadian Open is scheduled to start with first-round action on Thursday, June 5. The tournament runs through the final round on Sunday, June 8.

2025 RBC Canadian Open predictions
Sportsbook Wire: Taylor Pendrith (+2500)
"Pendrith is heating up as the temperature rises, finishing T-5 at the PGA Championship and T-12 at the Memorial Tournament this past week. He didn't putt well at Muirfield, but he finished the week second in strokes gained: tee to green, which shows how well he hit the ball. The Canadian could be in for a big week at his own national open."
Sports Illustrated: Shane Lowry (+1800)
"He’s been playing too well this season not to get a win and a non-signature event field could be the time he does it. He’s fifth on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained and second in strokes gained: tee to green. He also gained +2.0 true strokes with his approach play at last week’s Memorial Tournament, a great sign heading here."
PGATour.com: Sungjae Im (+2800)
"Im’s caddie just celebrated his man’s 100th top-25 finish in 197 starts. It’s been a few years since he got his hands on a trophy, but a T-16 at Memorial shows he’s poised to turn around a sleepy season."
RBC Canadian Open 2025: Sleeper picks for PGA Tour event
Sportsbook Wire: Justin Rose (+6600)
"Rose hasn't been in contention since the Masters and while this course has never been played for the RBC Canadian Open, Rose has a good track record in this event: 5-for-5 in cuts made, including two fourth-place finishes, one eighth place and a 14th."
BetMGM: Thorbjorn Olesen (+5000)
"Olesen ranks 13th in total strokes gained – ahead of players such as Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Ben Griffin and Jordan Spieth – which is the greatest barometer of actual performance. ... While he hasn’t won in 88 career PGA Tour starts – many of those in co-sanctioned events – he does have eight career DP World Tour victories, including in each of the last three seasons, so he knows how to close."
PGATour.com: Alex Noren (+5500)
"The Swede has shown little to no rust since returning from injury, playing his way into contention at the PGA Championship before a rough Sunday. Hard to bet in the outright market, but this is a tasty price to contend."
2025 Canadian Open prize money
The total purse for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open is $9.8 million. The tournament winner is slated to receive $1.764 million.
