2025 U.S. Open weather: What's the forecast for Friday's second round at Oakmont?

The 2025 U.S. Open is kicking off its first round Thursday, and the golf world is rejoicing. However, the celebration could be muted if Mother Nature decides not to cooperate.
Heat, lack of wind, and storms are all on the table for the tournament at Oakmont Country Club.
Although Thursday's opening round is expected to be hot and muggy, it should still go off without much of a hitch, with only a 10% chance of rain. But that might not be the case Friday, or the rest of the weekend for that matter.
Friday sees the chance of rain more than double, and with storm fronts expected to roll in on Saturday, the venue must prepare for such a possibility on Friday, all while continuing play as well as they can.
Here's the forecast for Friday's U.S. Open second round.
