Bryson DeChambeau might have cost himself a chance at winning another major on the first day of the 153rd Open Championship.

DeChambeau was the most prominent golfer in danger of missing the projected cut line as the second round of the 2025 British Open continued Friday at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland. The two-time U.S. Open champion and LIV Golf star ended his first round Thursday at 7-over and 11 shots off the lead after an opening 18 holes that featured a pair of double bogeys, consecutive bogeys to close out the back nine and a whiff from the long grass at the tricky links course. But he made a charge during the second round to reverse course and appears to be in a good spot t .

But DeChambeau isn't the only big name that has dealt with issues at golf's final major of 2025. Past major winners such as Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark and Patrick Reed are among those with work to do after posting poor first-round scores. Only the top 70 golfers, plus ties, after the conclusion of Friday's second round will make the cut for the weekend at the Open Championship this year.

Paste BN Sports is tracking all the action along the projected cut line at the 2025 Open Championship. Here's the latest on what's happening at Royal Portrush and the golfers in danger of missing the cut after Friday's second round:
