Jason Day had a good laugh after hitting his ball into a fan's cup at the Masters on Thursday.

Day's second shot hit a tree on the first hole, bounced off a fan's shoulder and into his beer cup, according to the Augusta Chronicle. The fan chugged the beer and handed the ball to Day.

Day, the winner of 11 PGA tour tournaments, was among the favorites after winning the Farmers Insurance Open in January and finishing second at Pebble Beach. The Australian shot 3-over 75 Thursday.

In his first Masters, Day tied for second, in 2011 finishing 12-under. He was third in 2013.

Ranked 12th in the world, Day is the 2015 PGA champion.
