Tiger Woods at the 2023 Masters: Five-time winner prepares at Augusta National
Tiger Woods arrived at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday afternoon to begin preparations for his 25th Masters.
The five-time winner of the green jacket hit balls on the range alongside Jason Day. Woods carried just a few wedges and his putter when he went out on the course, according to Masters.com web site. He and caddie Joe LaCava walked to areas around the greens and practiced chipping and pitching.
Monday he went out with Rory McIlroy, Fred Couples and Tom Kim for a practice round.
In the last tournament he played, the 47-year-old Woods finished T-45 at the Genesis Invitational in February. He skipped the Players Championship last month.
MASTERS BEGINS: Everything to know about the tournament at Augusta
He said earlier in the year that he'd focus on the majors and just a few select tournaments.
"Here's the deal: Like I told you guys last year, I'm not going to play any more than probably the majors and maybe a couple more. That's it, that's all my body will allow me to do," Woods said.
