PGA Championship purse: How much winning golfer will earn in 2024?

The 2024 PGA Championship is in full swing this weekend from Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. It's the second major of the year following the Masters one month ago and an exciting three days of action have many golfers with a chance at victory.

Like the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship offers a big reward for the top finishers. Last year, winner Brooks Koepka took home $3.15 million, and a two-way tie for second saw Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler each earn $1.54 million.

The 2023 PGA Championship purse saw the biggest year-over-year increase in the event's history with a $2.5 million boost to the total. Here's how the payouts will look this year:
