Paste BN High School Sports Awards: Dallas boys soccer nominees
The Paste BN High School Sports Awards are slated to celebrate the top student-athletes in the Dallas area.
On June 18, 2020, at 6 p.m., Paste BN will fete high school standouts with a star-studded online show available free of charge to all viewers. The show will also be available on demand after the initial live event.
Here are the eight nominees for Dallas Boys Soccer Player of the Year.
Kevin Adolfo

Noteworthy: The Eagles excelled at spreading around the scoring, but Adolfo was often a difference-maker with his adept passing (eight assists) and efficient scoring (16 goals).
Marc Borbonus

College: Mary Hardin-Baylor
Noteworthy: Ever the aggressor, Borbonus led the Wolverines’ attack with 13 goals.
Todd Fuller

Noteworthy: A starter since his freshman season, Fuller paced the Wolverines during their 21-0 start.
Robbie Pinot

Noteworthy: Pino managed to beat five defenders over 65 yards for a goal, put in deflections for scores and tallied 14 goals and 12 assists by the end of February.

Noteworthy: Able to finish on offense and match up on defense when called upon, his 13 goals and six assists kept the Falcons in every game.

Noteworthy: No one stonewalled opposing offenses like Renteria, who led the Dallas area with 13 shutouts for a team that was 20-0-1.
Pato Sanchez

Noteworthy: Sanchez posted a hat trick and provided an assist in the Dragons’ 5-0 win over Guyer.
Roman Torres
School: Uplift Williams Prep (Dallas)

Noteworthy: Whether it was finishing with a heel or head, Torres took aim at opponents early and often as he accumulated 47 goals to lead the Dallas area.
