2025 Preakness Stakes horses field: Latest odds, how to watch Triple Crown race

The 2025 Preakness Stakes is just one day away, and the field of nine horses is fiercely competitive, making it any horse's race to take home the Middle Jewel title.

The field includes American Promise, trained by the legendary D. Wayne Lukas, a Hall of Famer who aims for his seventh Preakness Stakes title. Last year, Lukas had Seize the Grey in the race, and the horse went on to win the second leg of the Triple Crown.

Kentucky Derby runner-up Journalism is the 8-5 favorite heading into the race at Pimlico. Journalism has a strong lineage of performers and is the son of Curlin, who never finished lower than fourth during his career. Following Journalism in the odds are Sandman at 4-1 and River Thames at 9-2.
