New York Giants, Mike Francesa feud on Twitter over access to GM Dave Gettleman

Mike Francesa has never been afraid to use his platform as a bully pulpit. Except this time, his targets aren't rolling over.
Late Tuesday, Francesa took to Twitter to excoriate the New York Giants for not providing access to general manager Dave Gettleman, who the WFAN radio host has repeatedly ripped over the last few months.
"For the first time in my WFAN career, I will not be doing a training camp program from Giants camp," Francesa wrote on Twitter. "Was invited but told there would be no access to GM. Dave Gettleman should have enough confidence and conviction to explain his decisions. If he is hiding, I'll pass."
The jab did not go unnoticed. Giants senior vice president of communications Pat Hanlon fired back, tweeting that Francesa basically called Gettleman a liar and a loser in April shortly after the Giants selected quarterback Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in the draft.
"That is a long way of saying: why should (Gettleman go on)? Why would he?" Hanlon wrote in a separate tweet on his personal account. "The owner was willing to go on. The head coach and players, too. Always welcome, Mike, as long as you're working for our flagship partner ... "
All Giants games are aired on WFAN. Quarterback Eli Manning used to have a weekly spot on Francesa's afternoon drive-time program, but he canceled the appearances in April.
This isn't the first time Francesa has gone at a New York general manager. He blasted Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen during an interview last month, telling him "you've done a lousy job."
