The set of ESPN's SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt will look a little bit different during the upcoming days after the anchor revealed Thursday that he had tested positive for coronavirus.

"Won't be doing shows for a bit after a positive Covid-19 test," Van Pelt tweeted. "Thankfully, no fever & I feel fine. Just can't smell or taste anything which was my clue to go get a test."

Van Pelt, a 20-year ESPN veteran, becomes one of the network's highest profile on-air personalities to contract the virus. Earlier this month, ESPN senior fantasy analyst Matthew Berry and college basketball analyst Dan Dakich also announced they tested positive.

Van Pelt, who has hosted the midnight ET edition of SportsCenter since September 2015, did not indicate if he would return to the airwaves before the end of the year.

"I will hunker down and hopefully can be back at it before too long," he said.
