Young fan hit with foul ball during Brewers-Braves

ATLANTA (AP) — A boy was taken to the hospital after being struck in the head with a foul ball in Atlanta during the Braves' game against the Brewers.

In the seventh inning Tuesday night, Milwaukee leadoff hitter Carlos Gomez lined a pitch into the stands along the first-base line behind the Atlanta dugout. Pitcher Julio Teheran heard the child get hit and crouched down on the mound in obvious anguish. Gomez also looked toward the stands with concern.

The boy was hustled out of the stadium by medical personnel. The Braves said he was "conscious and talkative" while being treated at Turner Field. He was then taken to a hospital.

The team has released no other details.
