A's, Yankees game suspended after light issue

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The game between the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees has been suspended after a panel of lights went out above left field at the Coliseum.

The Yankees took the field for the bottom of the fourth inning when a stadium official informed umpires of the outage. The Yankees were then called off the field and play was haulted.

UPDATE: Play has resumed at the bottom of the fourth.

Oakland led 2-1.

The A's have long been trying to move to a new ballpark. The aging Coliseum, which has had multiple plumbing problems in the past two years, is the only stadium left in the country still home to teams from Major League Baseball and the NFL.
