4 Razorbacks selected so far in Major League Baseball draft
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — At least four Arkansas Razorbacks have been selected in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.
Picher Zach Jackson was selected in Friday's third round by the Toronto Blue Jays and junior outfielder Clark Eagan was chosen Friday in the ninth round by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pitcher Dominic Taccolini was selected Saturday in the 16th round by Toronto and shortstop Michael Bernal was taken in the 29th round by the San Francisco Giants.
Jackson was 3-4 with four saves as both a starter and a reliever this season while Eagan hit .298 for the season with seven home runs and 37 RBIs. Taccolini was 5-5 on the season and Bernal hit .274 with eight home runs 37 RBIs.
The 40-round draft ends Saturday.
