Tim Tebow hits first home run at Mets camp
Tim Tebow’s presence in New York Mets instructional league camp sold a ton of jerseys and attracted hundreds of his most loyal followers to Port St. Lucie, Fla.
It’s almost enough to make one forget Tebow’s actually there to play some baseball.
The two-time national champion and Heisman Trophy winner at the University of Florida reminded onlookers of that fact on Tuesday when he hit his first home run – albeit a batting practice shot – about 90 minutes into the Mets’ workouts.
