With Indians, Cubs tied, Game 7 of World Series in rain delay

Game 7 of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians came to a halt after the ninth inning -- at least temporarily.

With the game tied 6-6, rain began to fall and  the Indians ground crew came out and put the tarp on the field.

"We thought it might miss us," said umpire John Hirschbeck, "but just as the inning began, (we heard) it would hit us.

"Just to keep the field covered.

Asked if the game will get finished?

"Absolutely."

The delay lasted just 17 minutes.
