Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, the target of racial epithets in Monday's game in Boston at Fenway Park, has the support among his colleagues.
Current and former major league players have turned to social media to express their support.
The Red Sox issued a statement apologizing to Jones and said they were "sickened by the conduct of an ignorant few."
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred also issued a statement and said “the racist words and actions directed at Adam Jones at Fenway Park last night are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated at any of our ballparks."
