Chicago Cubs' flight to L.A. diverted to Albuquerque by medical issue

The Chicago Cubs’ plane, bound for Los Angeles after they clinched a berth in NLCS, was diverted to Albuquerque Friday morning after a family member fell ill on the flight.
FAA spokesperson Lynn Lunsford confirmed the diversion to Paste BN Sports, although the agency had no information on the medical issue.
A person was treated after the United charter landed Albuquerque International Sunport around 5 a.m., according to airport spokesperson Daniel Jiron. Jiron said his initial information was that the person was transported to an area hospital.
While the plane was on the ground, the pilots ran out of flight time and Jiron said new pilots had to be brought in. The plane remained on the ground about five hours before the flight continued to Los Angeles, where the Cubs will face the Dodgers in Game 1 on Saturday.
