HOUSTON - Houston Astros manager A.J. Hinch denied he was involved in a confrontation at a bar inside the team’s hotel after Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday, although Paste BN Sports confirmed police responded to an incident that involved members of the Astros organization.

Security at the hotel in Pasadena, Calif., called police to report a disturbance inside the bar area of the hotel at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Pasadena police Lt. Max Dahlstein told Paste BN Sports.

"We didn't make a determination whether a physical altercation had occurred," Dahlstein said.

No arrests were made and no report was filed, according to Pasadena police Lt. Mark Goodman.

Hinch on Thursday denied the assertion reported by TMZ that the incident was in any way physical.

"There was no altercation," Hinch said during his news conference at Minute Maid Park on the World Series off day. "And it's a shame I get asked about nonsense, fabrications and non-stories on the national stage.

"Fabrications really suck."

TMZ was the first to report the incident, which started after some at the hotel began to taunt members of the Astros' organization.
