The Gleyber Torres era is set to begin.

The New York Yankees star prospect is expected to be up with the team for Sunday's afternoon game against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to reports.

Earlier this week down at Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre it was reported Torres was dealing with “a mid-back situation,’’ though “they don’t think it’s a big deal,"  Yankees manager Aaron Boone said of the organization’s top positional prospect on Tuesday.

On Monday night, Torres was removed from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s game for “precautionary’’ reasons, according to Boone.

Torres was batting .370 entering the weekend, but he’s been playing more second base lately — making him a possibility to take time away from Neil Walker (11-for-60, .183) and Tyler Wade (3-for-35, .086).
