MLB rumors: The latest news from the Winter Meetings

The annual Major League Baseball Winter Meetings continue Tuesday in Las Vegas after a flurry of discussion on Monday.

All 30 teams are present, all laying the groundwork for trades and free agent acquisitions. Suffice to say, the hot stove will be firing with transactions and rumors.

We are here to break down the biggest news and rumors.

Where will Manny Machado and Bryce Harper go? What do the Yankees have in store? Will the Indians really part with Corey Kluber and/or Trevor Bauer? What will NL East teams do next? Will big-name pitchers such as Noah Syndergaard, Zack Greinke and Madison Bumgarner be on the move?

Phillies, McCutchen agree to deal

The skinny: Phillies GM Matt Klentak has acknowledged a desire to sign free agent Bryce Harper -- but instead agreed to a three-year deal with former NL MVP Andrew McCutchen. McCutchen, 32, spent most of last season with the Giants before he was traded to the Yankees and hit .255 with 20 homers. By signing McCutchen, it means the Phillies are likely out of the Harper sweepstakes.

Red Sox retooling?

The skinny: With closer Craig Kimbrel and setup man Joe Kelly free agents, the defending World Series champions have some work to do this offseason to rebuild their bullpen. Do they need payroll space so badly that they'd move Porcello, their No. 3 starter? Where would they find a starting shortstop if they traded the 26-year-old Bogaerts? Would MVP Mookie Betts move to center if Bradley is dealt? Seems like relievers would be much easier to find ...

Champagne superNova

The skinny: The White Sox received Ivan Nova in a trade with the Pirates, pending medical reviews, according to multiple reports. The veteran right-hander would join a young rotation that includes Carlos Rodon, Reynaldo Lopez, Lucas Giolito and perhaps Dylan Covey. Nova, who turns 32 next year, has been consistent in his two-plus years in Pittsburgh. Last season, he went 9-9 with a 4.19 ERA. The Pirates are expected to get an "upper-level" pitching prospect and international bonus money in return.

Phillies and Keuchel

Skinny: Count the Phillies in on free agent Dallas Keuchel. However, there's some concern on the free agent left-hander. He hasn't been consistent and the same pitcher since he won the 2015 Cy Young and he's demanding top dollar on the market.

Three-way trade?

The skinny: The Marlins plan to move J.T. Realmuto, but to which team is still a mystery. The Marlins, Mets and Yankees have discussed a three-way deal that would include the All-Star catcher, sending him to Queens, Noah Syndergaard to the Bronx and possibly Miguel Andujar to Miami. While any deal involving Realmuto is far from reality, Syndergaard would be a nice addition to a Yankees rotation that already includes Luis Severino, James Paxton, Mashahiro Tanaka and CC Sabathia.

In addition, the in-on-everyone Phillies have also been mentioned as possible suitors for Realmuto.
