The National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves begins Thursday.
The winner of the best-of-five series moves on to the NL Championship Series, where they'll meet the winner of the Los Angleles Dodgers and Washington Nationals.
The Braves enter the series hoping to end a streak of nine straight losing playoff rounds since beating the Houston Astros in the 2001 NLDS.
This is the fifth postseason meeting between the clubs. The Cardinals have won three of them (1982 NLCS, 2000 NLDS and 2012 wild-card game). The Braves won 1996 NLCS.
