Having put on an impressive power display in their 9-3 win in Game 1, the New York Yankees look to take a commanding lead in the best-of-five American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 2 on Tuesday.

With Gerrit Cole on the mound, Clint Frazier, Kyle Higashioka, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton – who hit a ninth-inning grand slam – went long for the Yankees, who got three scoreless innings from their bullpen to secure the victory at Petco Park in San Diego.

Tampa Bay, the top seed in the AL, finds itself trailing in the series after winning eight of 10 regular season games against the Yankees.

Rookie right-hander Deivi Garcia (3-2, 4.98 ERA) takes the mound for the Yankees in Game 2, and the 21-year-old will become the youngest pitcher to start a postseason game in franchise history. Garcia struck out 33 with just six walks in 34 ⅓ innings in the regular season, registering three quality starts in six outings.

Trying to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole, the Rays turn to right-hander Tyler Glasnow (5-1, 4.08 ERA). The 27-year-old picked up the win in Game 2 of the wild-card series against the Blue Jays, giving up two runs in six innings with eight strikeouts.
