The Boston Red Sox's home game against the New York Mets was suspended Friday night after heavy rains sent water pouring through Fenway Park.

The storm system caused flooding in Massachusetts then moved into the Boston area, hitting Fenway Park in the bottom of the fourth inning and causing a rain delay with the Mets ahead 4-3.

Eventually the game was suspended after about two hours and will be resumed Saturday at 2:10 p.m. ET. The Saturday game that was supposed to be played at 4:10 ET will be moved to 7:10 ET, the Red Sox said.

Videos shared on social media showed the extent of the rainfall, turning a stairwell into a waterfall and leaving ankle deep water in the concourse and other places.
