Outfielder Adolis García ended Game 1 in style after hitting the game-winning homer in the 11th inning, securing the victory for the Texas Rangers against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This was García's fifth consecutive game with a home run, also earning his 22nd RBI in the postseason.

In the ninth inning, Corey Seager hit a two-run home run to tie the game, giving the Rangers a chance for the win. In the end, the American League Championship Series MVP Adolis García's homer sealed the deal, resulting in a 6-5 win for the Rangers against the Diamondbacks.
