The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets will continue their battle in the National League Championship Series Sunday, which features a potentially decisive Game 6.

The Mets managed to stave off elimination with some early success at the plate in Game 5, with Pete Alonso belting a three-run homer in the first inning to spark a 12-6 scoreline to force a Game 6. They'll be hoping left-hander Sean Manaea can repeat his Game 2 win, though manager Carlos Mendoza will have to keep tabs on his pitcher after he lasted just five innings in Monday's 7-3 victory.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, will want to settle this series in six rather than seven. That will probably mean leaning on superstars Shohei Ohtani (who has a team-best .538 OPS in the series) and Mookie Betts to provide the runs. The Dodgers got a boost as Freddie Freeman (ankle) seems likely to play Game 6, while the team hasn't announced a starting pitcher for this critical game.
