Watch: Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Hernandez hit back-to-back homers in World Series Game 2

LOS ANGELES — Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers have built up a 4-1 lead through the first four innings against the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the World Series.

Freeman hit the second of a back-to-back home run off Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon, after Teoscar Hernandez's two-run homer to center field.

It was the first time there were back-to-back home runs in the World Series since 2022.

Freeman was coming off a clutch performance in Game 1 with a walk-off grand slam.

Hernandez put the Dodgers ahead a batter earlier withe a two-run home run that brought in Mookie Betts, who had singled to left field to get on base.

Tommy Edman gave Los Angeles the first lead of the game with a solo homer in the second inning but Juan Soto hit a solo home run in the top of the third inning to briefly even the score.
