2024 World Series: Predictions and odds for Dodgers vs. Yankees Game 4
Things are looking bleak for the New York Yankees, facing a 3-0 World Series deficit to the Los Angeles Dodgers following a 4-2 loss in Game 3.
We haven't seen a sweep in the World Series since the San Francisco Giants took down the Detroit Tigers four games to none in 2012. If there was ever a team to break that streak though, the organization that spent $1 billion on two players in the offseason was as good a bet as any.
The Yankees have the talent to come back though. Despite their three-game deficit, they haven't been blown out in any game so far. Obviously, today is a must-win scenario for New York. Here's everything to know about this potential series-clinching Game 4.

Nicholas Martin, NY Post: Yankees to win
Martin writes, "This game looks like a good spot to target some relatively extreme outcomes. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Gil blow up early and the Dodgers cruise to an eighth World Series title. If he is on, however, his arsenal suggests a dominant outing is realistic, and he has offered some spectacular performances at Yankee Stadium this season. If the Yankees can manage an early lead, Dave Roberts will deploy his less-dominant relievers, and maybe we will see the Yankees push back with a comfortable win of their own."
Matt Modi, Newsweek: Teoscar Hernandez to record 2+ bases
Modi writes, "Hernandez might be the hottest batter in the World Series, but he has not quite gotten the same shine as some of his teammates, who have had bigger plays in bigger moments. However, Hernandez is seeing the baseball like it's a beach ball."
Brad Cunningham, Action Network: Under 8.5 runs
Cunningham writes, "Every game for the Yankees is a must-win at this point, so if Luis Gil gets in any sort of trouble, he's getting yanked by manager Aaron Boone. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because the top end of the Yankees bullpen has been quite good during the playoffs. Even during the World Series, they've been solid outside a few blemishes. The Dodgers seem to have figured out and the bullpen game. This will be their fourth time utilizing it and Dave Roberts seems to have a good feel on which buttons to push. By utilizing his superior relievers off the bat, the Dodgers can play matchups and get their relievers into situations they can best succeed. In addition to that, really all the Dodgers bullpen has to do is set up their breaking pitches and they should be able to keep the Yankees offense at bay."
