Rays slugger Junior Caminero joins 2025 Home Run Derby field

More exit velocity records are sure to be shattered in the 2025 Home Run Derby in Atlanta as Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero announced he would be part of the festivities.
Caminero, who was named a first-time All-Star, joins Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr., Seattle Mariners catcher and MLB home run leader Cal Raleigh, Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood, Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton and Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz in the derby set to take place July 14 at Truist Park.
The 22-year-old Caminero is only the fifth Rays player to participate in the derby following Carlos Peña, Evan Longoria, Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes.
Caminero is batting .252 with 21 home runs and 57 RBIs in 86 games this season.
