After losing third baseman Josh Donaldson to free agency, the Atlanta Braves have found a big bat to fill the void in veteran outfielder Marcell Ozuna.
The Braves announced Tuesday they've signed Ozuna, who played the past two seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals, to a one-year, $18 million contract.
Ozuna, 29, hit .241 last season in St. Louis with 29 home runs, 89 RBI, 80 runs scored and a career-high 12 stolen bases. He gives the Braves a powerful cleanup hitter to slot into Donaldson's spot in the batting order -- behind Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman.
