Francisco Lindor out of Mets' opener vs. Dodgers after shutting hotel room door on finger

The New York Mets' starting lineup was missing one of its hottest hitters for Thursday's series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Francisco Lindor was out of the lineup after shutting his hotel door on his right middle finger. The Mets shortstop was replaced by Luis Guillorme at the position and in the No. 3 spot in the lineup.
"I have double doors, and I went to close one and didn't think the other one was going to close," Lindor told reporters before the game. "They closed at the same time and next thing you know, I have a swollen finger."
Lindor said he does not have a "good sensation" when handling the baseball. He is hoping it will feel a better to play Friday.

Lindor has driven in a run in each of the last 10 games, which is tied for the second-longest streak by any Mets player in franchise history. During that stretch, he has driven in 20 RBI.
Over his last 18 games, Lindor is batting .324 with three home runs, 19 runs and 21 RBI.
