After handing down his punishment in the Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred instructed other clubs not to comment on the issue.
However, that directive apparently didn't apply to minor league affiliates.
The New York Yankees' short-season Class A affiliate has already announced a promotion on Sept. 3 - when the Staten Island Yankees host the Tri-City Valley Cats, an affiliate of the Astros.
The first 500 fans to pass through the gates will receive - you guessed it - a miniature trash can with the home team's logo on it. So for $16, fans can get a ticket right behind the visitors dugout and bang away on their small-scale model to their hearts' content.
