The 2019 World Series continues Friday night with the Washington Nationals holding a 2-0 lead over the Houston Astros as the Fall Classic shifts to the nation's capital.

Washington took the first two games in Houston – beating Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander – including a 12-3 blowout in Game 2 after the Astros unraveled late in the game.

Of the 23 teams who have lost the first two World Series games at home, only three – most recently the New York Yankees in 1996 – have managed to come back and win the series.

Right-hander Anibal Sanchez (11-8, 3.85 ERA) gets the start for the Nationals on Friday night. He's made two starts in the postseason, giving up just one run in 12 ⅔ innings. In his last outing, Sanchez held the St. Louis Cardinals hitless for 7 ⅔ innings in Game 1 of the NLCS.

Looking to turn the series around, the Astros counter with veteran Zack Greinke (18-5, 2.93 ERA). Acquired at the trade deadline, Greinke has struggled in the postseason, going 0-2 with a 6.43 ERA in three starts, only once getting through the fifth inning.
