Red Sox opening day roster: Full Boston team to begin 2025 MLB season

With the addition of some big name free agents and trades this offseason, the Boston Red Sox have their eyes set on a postseason run after missing the playoffs the last three seasons.
Just hours prior to their game against the Texas Rangers on Thursday, the Red Sox set their 2025 Opening Day 26-man roster.
Boston added a true ace with Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler to the starting rotation. Offensively, All-Star third basemen Alex Bregman was added after signing a three-year $120 million deal over the winter which will move Rafael Devers to the designated hitter spot. And rookie Kristian Campbell, 22, also made the roster after a solid spring in the field, earning him the starting job at second base.
