The Kansas City Royals and pitcher Wily Peralta have agreed to a one-year contract worth just more than $1.5 million.
The deal includes a club option for 2019.
The right-hander has been pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers for the past six seasons, compiling a 47-52 record, with a 4.48 ERA.
He started eight of the 19 games he appeared in last season, going 5-4 with a 7.85 ERA.
