Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota Twins: Time, channel and pitching matchup
After a quick trip to Philadelphia, the Detroit Tigers are heading back home.
The Tigers dropped two of three games in a hotly-contested series against the first-place Phillies over the weekend, but have looked stronger overall since losing eight of their first nine games after the All-Star Break.
The Tigers now take on a Minnesota Twins team that were MLB's biggest sellers at the trade deadline, sending away many of their top players including shortstop Carlos Correa and closer Jhoan Durán (who saved two games against the Tigers over the weekend as the new Phillies closer).
Detroit, meanwhile, was a big buyer at the deadline, with ace Tarik Skubal calling his squad a "brand new team" during an in-game interview on Sunday Night Baseball.
With the two American League Central teams heading in different directions, the Tigers will take on the Twins from Monday, Aug. 4, to Wednesday at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The Tigers will play a three-game series against the Twins from Monday through Wednesday, with the first two games starting at 6:40 p.m. ET and the last one starting at 1:10 p.m. ET.
