Even the Yankees' plane got injured, forcing team to take the bus to Baltimore
The New York Yankees, who have been stricken with a rash of injuries this season, chalked up another broken-down issue – this one to the team airplane.
Adding insult to injury, the Yankees were forced to make the three-and-a-half hour bus ride from the Bronx to Baltimore on Sunday evening due to a mechanical problem with their chartered flight, according to George A. King III of the New York Post.
The Yankees begin a four-game set with the Orioles on Monday at Camden Yards.
The Yankees, who claimed sole possession of first place in the American League East with a 13-5 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays earlier Sunday, have dealt with a long list of injuries to its star players. They currently have 13 players in the injured list, including outfielders Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge.
