Former New York Yankees great Derek Jeter's luxurious 'castle' drops sales price by $2 million

If you're in the market for a home and are looking for a bargain, the "castle" owned by Yankees great Derek Jeter just had its price reduced.
The estate in Greenwood Lake, New York, is available for a humble $12,750,000, bumped down from the far-less-attainable $14,750,000, according to the real estate listing. It has been on the market since 2018.
Located just over the New Jersey state line on the shore of Greenwood Lake, the 115-year-old home is hidden by 6-foot-tall stone walls. The estate is called Tiedemann Castle, after its former owners, but the home highlighted by its trademark stone turret belongs to Jeter, the Hall of Fame New York Yankees shortstop and current Miami Marlins co-owner.
The lakeside property features a main house, a guest house, a pool house and a boat house. An infinity pool, intricately manicured gardens and a lagoon featuring its own stone bridge round out the grounds.
There are also two conference rooms, 12 bathrooms and five kitchens — four indoors and one outdoors, according to an online listing from Wright Bros. Real Estate Inc. The annual property taxes are around $72,000, the listing said.
