The New York Yankees' Tommy Kahnle lost his cool Wednesday night — literally.

The Yankees pitcher unleashed his frustrations on a fan that was keeping the players cool in the Angel Stadium dugout, knocking the machine over with his glove and giving it two hard stomps for good measure.

Kahnle was evidently not pleased with his performance in the eighth inning of the Yankees' 7-3 loss to the Angels, which saw him walk two and give up a run on a ground-rule double to Taylor Ward. The YES Network captured Kahnle's tirade when he was back in the dugout upon the completion of the inning. The Yankees' broadcast also showed Kahnle speaking with manager Aaron Boone.

"I know we all care a lot and sometimes in this game when you get beat up a little bit and you're taking your lumps it comes out in certain ways," Boone said. "Obviously there's a line, you got to be a professional, right? But everyone reacts a little bit different."

Little has been going right for the Yankees of late. The Bronx Bombers, who are still without the services of reigning MVP Aaron Judge, have lost four in a row after the Angels sewed up the sweep on Wednesday night and are just 1-5 since the All-Star break.

The Yankees, now 50-47, are in last place in the AL East.

“We stink right now. We acknowledge that,” Boone said. “We’ve got to be better. We all understand where we are at. We’re seeing some guys make progress and move the needle a little bit and get a little bit healthier, but we still got a ways to go.”
