Tim Cahill scores twice to lift NY Red Bulls

TORONTO (AP) — Tim Cahill scored twice, including a header in the 89th minute that gave the New York Red Bulls a 2-1 victory against Toronto FC on Saturday in a Major League Soccer game.

Cahill's tiebreaking goal came off a cross by Thierry Henry and gave New York (4-4-2) its second consecutive win and third in its last four matches.

Jonathan Osorio scored the tying goal for Toronto (1-3-4) in the 83rd minute. Toronto came in off four consecutive draws in MLS play, including three in which it gave up a lead in injury time.

Cahill had given the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute on a goal also set up by Henry. The former French star had a beautiful dummy on a pass from Roy Miller, letting the ball roll to an open Cahill, who slotted it from the center of the box past Toronto goalkeeper Joe Bendik.
