NASCAR Sonoma: Start time, lineup, TV schedule and more
SONOMA, Calif. — It's NASCAR race day at Sonoma Raceway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for today's Toyota/Save Mart 350.
START TIME: Ol' DW -- NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip -- will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:08 Eastern time today (12:08 local), followed by the green flag at 3:20 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 3:20.
RACE DISTANCE: The Toyota/Save Mart 350 is not 350 miles, but 350 kilometers. That's a total of 110 laps and 218.9 miles around Sonoma's hilly 1.99-mile road course.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Any James Durbin fans out there? Durbin, a Santa Cruz, Calif. native who rose to fame on American Idol, will do the honors today.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: TNT will broadcast today's race and has a pre-race show beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will call the race on the radio.
