NASCAR Daytona start time, lineup, TV schedule and more
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — It's NASCAR race night at Daytona International Speedway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for tonight's Coke Zero 400.
START TIME: This should be epic: Grown Ups 2 stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Shaquille O'Neal will give the command to fire engines tonight at 7:41 p.m. EDT, followed by the green flag at 7:53 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 7:41.
RACE DISTANCE: The Coke Zero 400 is a 160-lap race around the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway for a total of 400 miles.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: The Navy Band Southeast's Ceremonial Band is performing the national anthem tonight, a patriotic selection for Fourth of July weekend.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: TNT will broadcast tonight's race and has a pre-race show beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) will call the race on the radio.
WEATHER: It's Florida in the summer, so that means it's going to be hot and steamy with a chance of thunderstorms. That's pretty much the forecast for every day in Daytona during July, though.
LAST TIME: One year ago, Tony Stewart won yet another Daytona race — the 19th he's won at the "World Center of Racing" across all series. And at February's Daytona 500, Jimmie Johnson earned his second win in NASCAR's crown jewel event.
STARTING LINEUP: Kyle Busch won his first-ever restrictor-plate pole position — in any series — on Friday at Daytona. Overall, Toyota drivers took five of the top seven spots.
