NASCAR New Hampshire start time, lineup, TV schedule
LOUDON, N.H. — It's NASCAR race day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for Sunday's Camping World RV Sales 301.
START TIME: The command to start engines will be given at 1:08 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag at 1:16 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 1:08.
RACE DISTANCE: The Camping World RV Sales 301 (also the title sponsor for NASCAR's truck series) is 318.46 miles, or 301 laps around the 1.058-mile oval.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Performed at 1:01 p.m. by Miss New Hampshire Samantha Russo. The Canadian national anthem will be sung at 12:58 p.m. by Baylee Morrison.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: TNT will broadcast today's race and has a prerace show beginning at noon ET. This is the last of six consecutive races for the network in its "Summer Series." The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will have the radio call.
WEATHER: According to Wunderground.com, a high temperature of 91 degrees is expected in Loudon Sunday. There's a 20% chance of late-afternoon thunderstorms.
LAST TIME: Kasey Kahne essentially sewed up a Chase for the Sprint Cup bid with his first victory of 2012, leading the final 66 laps after runner-up Denny Hamlin was burned by a call for four tires during the final caution period that left him mired in traffic.
STARTING LINEUP: With a track-record 135.922-mph lap, Brad Keselowski captured his third career pole position and his second at New Hampshire. Sprint Cup points leader Jimmie Johnson will start at the back of the field after failing post-qualifying inspection.
