NASCAR at New Hampshire: Start time, lineup, TV schedule
LOUDON, N.H. — It's NASCAR race day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for Sunday's Sylvania 300.
START TIME: The command to start engines will be given at 2:08 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag at 2:16 p.m.
RACE DISTANCE: The Sylvania 300 is 317.4 miles, or 300 laps around the 1.058-mile oval.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Performed at 2:01 p.m. by Caroline Burns. The Canadian national anthem will be sung at 1:58 p.m. by Emma Joanis.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: ESPN will broadcast today's race and has a prerace show beginning at 1 p.m. ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will have the radio call.
WEATHER: According to Wunderground.com, a high temperature of 70 degrees is expected in Loudon today. There's a 90% chance of rain in the morning and early afternoon.
LAST TIME: Denny Hamlin started 32nd because his team put the wrong air pressure in his No. 11 Toyota for qualifying, but he still scored a dominant victory last September. Hamlin paced 193 of 300 laps after taking his first lead on Lap 94. Brian Vickers won at New Hampshire two months ago for his first victory since 2009.
STARTING LINEUP: With a track-record 136.497-mph lap (the 16th qualifying record set in the debut season of the Gen 6 car), Ryan Newman captured his 51st career pole position and seventh in 24 starts at New Hampshire.
