SONOMA, Calif. — Today is NASCAR race day at Sonoma Raceway, and we've got some essential information you need to get ready for today's Sprint Cup Series race.

START TIME: Professional climber Kevin Jorgeson will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:08 p.m. Eastern time today (12:08 local), followed by the green flag at 3:20 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 3:20 p.m.

RACE DISTANCE: The Toyota/Save Mart 350 is 110 laps around the 1.99-mile Sonoma Raceway for a total of 218.9 miles. Save Mart is in its 24th year as a Sonoma race sponsor.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Morgan Karr, who performs at a Sonoma Valley theater company, will sing the national anthem today.

TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: Fox Sports 1 will broadcast today's race for the final time this season and has a pre-race show beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Of note: This is the last race ever for the three-man booth of Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip (McReynolds will move to a different role next year and Jeff Gordon will step into the booth). The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will call the race on the radio.

WEATHER: The National Weather Service is calling for a typically beautiful day in Northern California: Mostly sunny with a high near 80 and a slight breeze.

LAST TIME: Carl Edwards became the 10th different winner in the last 10 Sonoma races, scoring a somewhat surprising win for his first career road course victory when he finished the race on just two pit stops.

STARTING LINEUP: AJ Allmendinger won the third pole of his career but his first on a road course, edging Kurt Busch for the top spot during Saturday's qualifying session.
