LAS VEGAS — It’s NASCAR race day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and we’ve got all the information you need to get ready for today’s Sprint Cup Series race.

START TIME: Mike McDermott, chief merchandising officer at Lowe's, will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:37 p.m. Eastern time today (12:37 local), followed by the green flag at 3:46 p.m. (12:46 p.m. local).

RACE DISTANCE: The Kobalt 400 is 267 laps around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a total of 400.5 miles.

NATIONAL ANTHEM/FLYOVER: Country music star Craig Morgan will sing the national anthem, followed by a flyover from the famed U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: FOX will broadcast the race on TV and has a pre-race show beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) and Sirius/XM Radio will call the race on the radio.

LIVE STREAMING: FOX is offering a live stream through its FOX Sports Go app.

WEATHER: Windy, windy, windy. And maybe rainy. The National Weather Service is calling for a 60% chance of showers but 100% chance of a very windy day with gusts up to 40 mph. The storm system moves through in the afternoon and Las Vegas has lights, so NASCAR should be able to overcome any delays.

LAST TIME: Kevin Harvick dominated the 2015 Las Vegas race and easily won over runnerup Martin Truex Jr.

STARTING LINEUP: Kurt Busch won his second consecutive pole position and will start on the front row alongside Joey Logano. For the second straight week, there are only 39 cars in the race — one short of a full field.
