NASCAR at Talladega: Start time, lineup, TV for Chase elimination race

TALLADEGA, Ala. — It’s NASCAR race day at Talladega Superspeedway, and we’ve got all the information you need to get ready for today’s Chase for the Sprint Cup second-round elimination race.
START TIME: Bobby Allison will instruct drivers to start their engines at 2:07 Eastern time today, followed by the green flag — waved by Donnie Allison — at 2:19 p.m.
RACE DISTANCE: The Hellmann’s 500 is 188 laps, 500.8 miles around the 2.66-mile restrictor plate track.
NATIONAL ANTHEM/FLYOVER: A B-1 Lancer from the 354th Bomb Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas, will execute a flyover. The National Anthem will be sung by the 313th United States Army Brass Quintet from Birmingham, and signed by Kristen Lathem of the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will broadcast the race on TV and has a pre-race show beginning at 1 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius/XM Radio will call the race on the radio.
LIVE STREAMING: NBC offers a live stream on its NBC Sports app.
WEATHER: According to the National Weather Service, sunny with a high of 78 degrees.
LAST TIME: Brad Keselowski prevailed in wild spring race that saw 35 of 40 cars leave with at least some damage. And one year ago, Joey Logano won under caution to sweep the second round in the 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup.
STARTING LINEUP: Martin Truex Jr. won the pole on the same afternoon NASCAR confirmed it had taken illegal jack screws from the No. 78 Toyota during pre-qualifying inspection.
