NASCAR fines Kevin Harvick crew chief for missing lug nut at Charlotte
Kevin Harvick crew chief Rodney Childers was fined $10,000 by NASCAR on Wednesday because their No. 4 Ford was found to have a loose rear lug nut after the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Harvick, who started on the pole and finished eighth in NASCAR's longest race of the season, will not incur a points penalty.
The Stewart-Haas Racing driver enters this weekend's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway winless but fourth in driver points.
