Young playoff drivers surprise in final practice at Chicagoland

JOLIET, Ill. -- Saturday’s final practice for Sunday’s Tales of the Turtles 400, the first race in the NASCAR playoffs, held some surprises.
Not among those was the fact that Kyle Busch led the speed list at 180.252 mph over Chicagoland Speedway’s 1.5-mile course. Busch, the only driver faster than 180 in the 50-minute session, has been quick since his Toyota hit the asphalt here.
Also in the top four were two playoff underdogs – Austin Dillon in second and Chase Elliott in fourth.
