Olympic speedskater Sugar Todd gets look at speed NASCAR style

Olympic speedskater Sugar Todd got a different look at speed Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.
The Nebraska native was the honorary pace car driver for the first race in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup playoffs. She did some practice laps Sunday morning.
"It was a lot like the driving I normally do except it was on a NASCAR track,” she said, smiling.
Todd, 27, competed in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and is in training for next year’s games in South Korea.
"My first Olympic experience was a lot of fun,” she said. “My goal then was to make the team. Once I got there, it was about enjoying the experience. This time, I feel like I’ll be more of a medal contender.
"I have my sights set a little higher, and I’ll be a little more focused and driven this time around.”
Todd has been a member of the United States national team since 2012.
