NASCAR Pocono 400: Schedule, lineup, TV and weather at Pocono Raceway
It’s race day at Pocono Raceway, and we've got all the information you need to get ready for Sunday's Pocono 400, the 14th race in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series:
START TIME: 2 p.m. ET. GREEN FLAG: 2:12 p.m. ET.
Lt. General Giovanni Tuck, of the U.S. Air Force Joint Staff, Lt. General Todd Semonite, Commander of the Army Corp of Engineers, and Major General Andrew Schafer, Commanding General of the 28th Infantry of the Pennsylvania National Guard, will instruct drivers to start their engines at 2:01 p.m. ET.
TV: FS1. Pre-race broadcast begins at 12:30 p.m. ET.
RADIO: Motor Racing Network. STREAMING: Fox Sports Go.
RACE DISTANCE: 160 laps around the 2.5-mile track for a total of 400 miles.
STAGE LENGTHS (laps per stage): Stage 1: 50, Stage 2: 50, Stage 3: 60.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Chris Whiting, Technical Sergeant U.S. Air Force Security Forces at Dover Air Force Base, will perform the anthem at 1:55 p.m. ET followed by a landing of the United States Army Parachute Team (Golden Knights).
WEATHER: Dicey. The National Weather Service is forecast showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1p.m. ET, with an 80% chance of precipitation. Temperatures are should range from the high 60s to low 70s.
LAST TIME: Kyle Bush led the final 59 laps and held off Kyle Larson by 1.875 seconds on July 1 to win for the second time in three races at Pocono. And one year ago on June 3, Martin Truex Jr. also topped Kyle Larson -- by 2.496 seconds -- and led 31 laps to win his second Cup race at Pocono.
LINEUP: William Byron earned the pole for the second consecutive week, topping Kyle Busch in Friday's qualifying.
